Getting
Your License
The Utah Division of Real Estate determines the qualifications
and requirements of all applicants for an Utah real estate
license. In general an applicant must be at least 18 years of
age, provide evidence of honesty, integrity and truthfulness and
not have been found guilty of violating any of the laws of the
Utah Revised Code pertaining to real estate. Salesperson
candidates must complete 120 classroom hours of study at a
degree granting institution. These classes include Real Estate
Principals and Practices, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate
Appraisal and Real Estate Law. After the successful completion
of the aforementioned classes, the applicant must pass a written
State of Utah examination. In order to take the examination, the
applicant must file an application that is signed by the
applicant and sponsoring broker. (request information on fees
and class schedules by email)
Getting Started
Most new Sales Associates are concerned about where their
listings and sales will come from. Finding clients is like
farming. The more seeds you spread and the more you fertilize
and cultivate your farm the greater the harvest. St. George GMAC
Real Estate offers more tools to help you reap a bountiful
harvest than any other company in the market. We have the
training and individual mentoring to help new associates get
started quickly. How Quickly? That is up to the individual and
what they put into the business. We believe that it is possible
to have your first transaction within 30 to 45 days.
Basic to a successful real estate career is the ability to get
in touch with buyers who want to buy and sellers who want to
sell. Both are considered "prospects", and prospects constitute
the life's blood of the industry. Prospecting is the activity
that relates to success. You will be encouraged and expected to
participate in productive and profitable prospecting activities.
We have unparalleled systems and tools to help you in the
process. Additionally, your personal web page will deliver
inquiries to you.
